Herb Garden

The herb garden is inspired by the monastic medicinal garden of the Middle Ages. It fulfilled two main functions: caring for the body and soothing the mind. Designed from historical documents on medieval gardens, it invites us to discover the plants used by Hildegard of Bingen. This 12th-century abbess believed that all remedies are in nature. She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
